The story of this guy...is a typical story for me...
This is
character, Wyldfire. We were actually in a big doodle circle the other day and I drew a couple dragon referances for him. And of course they got stolen.
That's right ~Wyldfire7 I'm talkin to you!
Anyway, he asked for another referance sheet and I went way over the top with this one. He asked for this specific dragon with this specific armor and it turned out amazing that I just couldn't keep it a secret. And yes, I realize that I've made a few of my own touchs with the design of the armor and even a little on the dragon, but I still think it's pretty badass...

I don't usually get critical with any drawings because I'm much too nice of a person to dare to say my blunt opinion, but with this I have to make an exception because rather than it having too much mistakes, it's so good that I want to find a couple things to note about.
The right horn looks to be way farther than it should be, in my opinion. unless they are supposed to be much wider than the head.
It's kind of unclear where the light is supposed to be coming from.
Even though you've added a 3D effect to the head in a way it still looks really 2D.
As good as this is and as alive as it feels it still feels less alive than for example this drawing [link]
Although it is true there's trees in this one to give more of a living feel to it...
but your drawing has a weird cartoonish effect (which for all I know you might have been going for) that makes it less alive even as amazing as it is.
The posture is maybe a teeney weeney bit too cat like. Takes away some of the threatning and majestic feel of it and instead gives out a cocky arrogant vibe.
Overall though I love it. Amazing work.
